Stacy performs as an award-winning soloist, soprano saxophonist of the acclaimed Zzyzx Quartet and Principal Saxophonist of the West Point Concert Band. "There are many ways to describe Stacy Wilson’s saxophone performance abilities, but perhaps at the top of the list should be flawless perfection." (Thomas Erdmann, Saxophone Today Magazine) Stacy has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Asia with concert appearances at Japan’s Izumi Concert Hall, Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw, Mahidol University in Thailand, St. Andrews, Scotland, Juilliard and the Eastman School of Music. As a concerto soloist, she has also performed as a frequent soloist with the West Point Concert Band and many university bands and orchestras . In 2012, she was a featured guest concerto soloist with the United States Army Band in Europe, giving two concerts in Oftersheim and Eppelheim, Germany. Stacy performs frequently at the World Saxophone Congress, Navy Band International Saxophone Symposiums, NASA Conferences and numerous concert series throughout the United States. She has been a jury member for some of the most prestigious national and international saxophone solo competitions including the NASA Young Artist Competition Finals, NASA Quartet Competition, NASA Collegiate Artist Competition Finals, MTNA Young Artist Competition, The Elise Hall Saxophone Competition and the Asia Pacific International Solo Competition. She is currently a mentor for the 2024-2025 North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA)  Committee for Gender Equity and works with a mentee on the creation and implementation of a community- focused project and presents masterclasses through the program.

Stacy Wilson is a decorated soloist with top prizes in many national and international competitions. In 2009, she became the first American Saxophonist to win one of the top prizes in the Gaudeamus International Interpreters Competition in Amsterdam, widely considered as one of the most prestigious competitions for the interpretation of contemporary music. Stacy won 1st Prizes in the William Byrd International Competition becoming the first saxophonist in the history of the competition, the MTNA Young Artist Collegiate Competition, Indianapolis Matinee Musicale Competition, GMTA Competition and was the winner of the Indiana University and the University of North Carolina Greensboro Concerto Competitions. Additionally, she received 3rd Prize in the North American Saxophone Alliance Collegiate Artist Competition in 2004 and was selected as a semi-finalist in the Jean-Marie Londeix International Saxophone Competition in Bangkok, Thailand in 2008, one of the world's most prestigious saxophone competitions. 

Described as “a superb ensemble with impeccable musical taste,” (Saxophone Journal) Stacy is the soprano saxophonist and a founding member of the internationally renowned Zzyzx Quartet. The Zzyzx Quartet has presented performances throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, as well as numerous masterclasses and workshops across the continental United States. The quartet has been a featured performer at the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France, the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference, and with the South Dakota State and Montclair University Wind Ensembles. Committed to the advancement of saxophone quartet repertoire, Zzyzx has commissioned and premiered new works by composers including Carlos Simon, John Mackey, David Maslanka, Sarah Gibson, Marc Mellits, Mischa Zupko, David Rakowski, John Leszczynski, Elliott Bark, Laura Kramer, Armando Bayolo and, Jonathan Sokol. As a result of this dedication to new music, Zzyzx was invited to serve as adjudicators for the prestigious Barlow Endowment, and was dedicatee of the new work, Awake, Alive, Amok, Ajar, by endowment winner Ben Hjertmann. The quartet has released two full-length albums, “Zzyzx Road” and “Intersections,” which are available on all major streaming platforms. They won 2nd Prize in the inaugural NASA Quartet Competition in 2008 and are the only American saxophone quartet to ever advance to the semi-finals of the prestigious OSAKA International Chamber Music Competition. They were selected as one of 7 semi-finalists from 211 applicants and 29 countries.

Currently residing in New York, Stacy is the principal saxophonist with the West Point Concert Band, one of America’s premier military bands. As a member of the band, she has been a frequent soloist and featured on national TV as a chamber musician. In 2011, Stacy was featured on national TV performing “The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” by G.F. Handel arranged for saxophone quartet on the FOX Broadcasting Network which received over 1,000,000 views. Additionally, she has performed alongside her West Point Band Colleagues with the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall and on national TV broadcasts. was the logistical coordinator and soloist for the NASA regional conference, hosted by the West Point Band. Stacy performs frequently with the West Point Saxophone Quartet, Quintette 7, Reed Quintet and other chamber groups. She has been a member of the concert band programming team for 10 years, focusing on innovative programming and showcasing diverse composers, has served as an operations assistant and currently runs the West Point Band music library.

Prior to her appointment, she was pursuing the Doctor of Music degree in Saxophone Performance at Indiana University Bloomington as an Associate Instructor of Saxophone. Stacy received the Master of Music degree in Saxophone Performance from Indiana University as a recipient of the school of music’s prestigious Performer’s Certificate, the institution’s highest honor for instrumental performers, and the Bachelor of Music degree in Saxophone Performance from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. As a scholarship recipient, Stacy pursued additional lessons at the International Master Class for Classical Saxophone in Laubach, Germany where she studied with Arno Bornkamp, Jan Schulte-Bunert and Vincent David. Her primary teachers include saxophonists, Jinny Whittaker, Steve Stusek and Otis Murphy. Stacy is on faculty at the Montclair State University’s John J. Cali School of Music. Since joining the faculty at MSU, her students have consistently won and placed in the school wide concerto competitions and regional competitions.

Stacy is a Yamaha Performing Artist and D'Addario Performing Artist.

In her free time, Stacy enjoys running, hiking, great coffee, home renovation and interior design. She lives in New York with her husband, Jason Miller, two boys and golden retriever, Milo.
